This is a cause that is very close to our hearts. We assisted in the design, organization and implementation of the first non profit dental clinic for kids that otherwise could not afford it.

Our Ten Mile Point Renovation was covered in Homes and Living March Renovation Issue. This was a beautiful house with a stunning view. We revamped most of the main floor, and put in what we believe to be the largest single slab kitchen island on Vancouver Island.

Help Nu-View Homes Help Kai!

Nu-View Loves Kai

At Nu-View Homes we pride ourselves on being very family oriented.  We consider our staff and those we work with to be among our Nu-View family.  That is why this year our team has committed to helping a local family, not only financially, but in every capacity we possibly can while they are going through any parent’s worst nightmare.
Just before Christmas, and only days after his sixth birthday Kai Hennessey was airlifted to BC Children’s Hospital in Vancouver.  He was diagnosed with ALCL Lymphoma, a very rare and serious form of cancer.  Kai along with his family has had to relocate to Vancouver while he fights the battle of his life.  He is expected to receive chemotherapy and other aggressive cancer treatments for the next six months to a year.

Kai has gone to school with Nu-View Homes President, Keith Andrews’ 5-year-old son Keaghan since preschool and they started Kindergarten at Deep Cove Elementary School together in the fall.  The news of Kai’s sickness shook our family, shook the school and shook anybody who has ever come into contact with this bright, gentle and sweet little boy.

This year Deep Cove Elementary School has made February 12th “I  Kai Day.”  The whole day will be dedicated to helping Kai!  There will be a bake sale and a head shaving fundraiser with all proceeds going to the Hennessey family.  Keaghan has volunteered to help his buddy Kai and he will be shaving his hair into a mohawk to support his friend!

We are reaching out to our local community, our friends and our family to ask for your help.  Keaghan is currently collecting pledges to shave his head; our goal is to relieve some of the financial burden on the Hennessey’s so that they can focus onhelping Kai get better.  Together with your generosity we can help Kai and his wonderful family beat cancer!

To pledge Keaghan online, please go to the “Help Kai on His Healing Journey” Go Fund Me account at http://www.gofundme.com/j42gsk (please add that you are pledging Keaghan Andrews in the comment section).  Or you can write a cheque to School District 63 and one of us at Nu-View Homes will come and pick it up at your convenience (please email shelly@nuviewhomes.com to arrange pickup).

We thank you in advance,
All of us at Nu-View Homes
